When I was first finding my way as a young photographer, I spent a month in Nicaragua with a friend in the Peace Corps. Not only was it a transformative trip for me personally, but also gave me the visual confidence to use light, color, decisive moment, and composition to make meaningful images. While some of these might have some technical flaws, I can see the photographer I am now in every one.
